A New Chapter Begins
“New Beginnings” is the name of this podcast episode. If you got my newsletter—which I just sent out today—you know that I will be a new partner at the law firm of Nolan Heimann LLP starting January 1, 2023. You can check out their website to see everything they do. It’s NolanHeimann.com.
Why Nolan Heimann LLP Is a Great Fit
I’m joining because Nolan Heimann is a really good complement to my practice area—they do a lot of work for entrepreneurs that I don’t do.
If you’re one of my current clients, I may have already referred you to them in the past because you may have had a business matter that I didn’t know how to handle—such as a licensing agreement or a complicated trademark or copyright issue that I didn’t feel comfortable handling on my own.
A Previous Collaboration with Nolan Heimann LLP
If you go back to one of my bonus episodes, I interviewed David Schnider, who is a partner at Nolan Heimann and an expert on licensing agreements. We had a great chat about what goes into licensing products.
What Nolan Heimann Offers
There are a lot of other areas that Nolan Heimann practices in, including:
• IP monetization
• Media, entertainment, and content creation
• Digital technology
• Cannabis law
• Music law
• Defamation and publicity law
• Business structuring and expansion
• Mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
• Business disputes
They also do litigation, which I currently don’t do—so that’s another area where they can now support my clients.
A Natural Partnership
I was a good fit for them because they didn’t have a partner who focused primarily on patents. So, by me joining, we felt it was a strong match that benefits both the firm and my clients.
The Future of the Podcast
Nolan Heimann LLP recently started doing some podcasts for their firm, and likely I’ll be continuing my Patenting for Inventors podcast—just under a new firm name.
Continuing to Support You
I’m really looking forward to continuing to help you all out in your patenting adventures. And now, if you have questions related to business or intellectual property that I don’t deal with directly, instead of me saying, “I don’t do that,” I can bring in one of the attorney experts at Nolan Heimann LLP to help us out.
I’m Adam Diament, and until next time—keep on inventing.
